Jim Walker is vice president and managing director, Asia Pac for Rockwell Collins. He was appointed to this position in February 2014.
Walker has more than 25 years of aerospace and defense industry experience, including 15 years with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) where he served as commanding officer joint communications and deputy director, Space Intelligence and Communications. Following his career in the Air Force, Walker spent nearly 10 years with the Boeing Company in Australia where he held several leadership positions, including general manager and vice president of the Networked Enabled Systems Business for Australasia and South East Asia. Most recently, he was chief executive officer of AutoCRC Ltd. since 2012, and before that chief executive officer of QMI Solutions Ltd. Both technology companies are based in Australia, with business interests throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Walker has a graduate diploma in Management Studies from the University of New South Wales along with a master’s in Engineering Education from Monash University RAAF, and a bachelor’s of Applied Mathematics from Newcastle University.
