Nick Gibbs is the interim vice president and general manager of Simulation and Training Solutions (STS) for Rockwell Collins. Gibbs is responsible for the company’s simulation and training business that includes training devices and visual systems, re-hosted avionics, computer and desktop training, and technical publications.
Since joining the company in 2006, Gibbs has served in a variety of positions including senior director of Products for STS, senior director of Visual Systems and senior director of Air Combat and Ground Solutions.
Prior to Rockwell Collins’ acquisition of Evans & Sutherland in June 2006, Gibbs served as vice president and general manager of the Simulation Systems Division of Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation (E&S). He was with E&S 20 years and served in a number of senior executive positions including vice president and general manager of Service and Support, director of Materials and director of Quality Assurance.
Gibbs serves on the board of directors for The Leonardo, a science and technology museum in Salt Lake City, and participates on the Technology and Venture Commercialization Committee with the University of Utah.
Gibbs earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Utah and is a native Utahan.
