Tommy Plant

Vice President and General Manager

Tommy G. Plant is vice president and general manager, Aircraft Seating for the Interior Systems business of Rockwell Collins. In this role, which he was appointed to in April 2017, he is responsible for the company’s aircraft seating portfolio for the Interior Systems business of Rockwell Collins.

Plant has served in various leadership roles at B/E Aerospace, which was acquired by Rockwell Collins in April 2017, for more than 25 years including vice president and general manager, Business Jet Segment, vice president and general manager, Seating Products Group.

He also held various senior management positions within the Seating Products group of B/E Aerospace, including vice president and general manager of the Seating Business, vice president of engineering and vice president of Premium Class Seating Programs. Prior to joining B/E Aerospace, Plant spent six years in engineering roles for the Army Weapons Division of British Aerospace PLC.

He has shown leadership and expertise in taking products from concept into production implementation with a proven history of success in product development and management of large complex programs.

Plant holds a HND in Mechanical and Production Engineering from North Hertfordshire College.
