Steve Timm is the vice president and general manager of Information Management, Commercial Systems, for Rockwell Collins.
Timm is responsible for the development and deployment of Rockwell Collins Information Management strategies and solutions.
Information Management supports flight operations, business operations, and passenger services. Information Management offers
solutions that assist airlines, business jet operators, and aircraft manufacturers in reducing costs, simplifying operations
and improving customer service.
Timm has been at Rockwell Collins since 1996, serving in multiple leadership roles. He has served as senior director for United
States Service Centers and as the director of the Life Cycle Value Stream Management implementation, establishing a new business
framework and capabilities throughout Rockwell Collins. Timm has been responsible for Lean Electronics at Rockwell Collins,
serving as a catalyst for key business initiatives.
Timm has a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems and Business from Wartburg College and a Master of Business
Administration degree from the University of Iowa. He is an active member in the community, serving on the Board of Directors
for the Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce. He is past president of the Association for Information Technology Professionals
and serves as a coach for various youth sports programs.
