Rockwell Collins leases new facilities in Tustin, California
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (July 13, 2005) - Rockwell Collins today announced plans to centralize three of its operations in the area into new facilities at "Tustin Commons."
Beginning next year, the company will move operations currently in Costa Mesa, Pomona and at 2742 Dow Ave. in Tustin into
the new complex.
"The collocation of these operations will enable us to more efficiently apply our shared services business model and allow
us to create a cabin systems engineering center of excellence in Southern California," explained Bob Chiusano, executive vice
president and chief operating officer of Rockwell Collins Commercial Systems. "It will also create a strategic talent center,
enhancing opportunities for employee career growth."
Chiusano adds, "Furthermore, this effort will clearly enhance our ongoing efforts to effectively integrate the diverse capabilities
of our enterprise."
Employees currently in Tustin and Costa Mesa are scheduled to move into the new facility in March 2006, with the Pomona move
tentatively set to begin next June. Rockwell Collins has entered into a 10-year lease agreement with BRCP Stonewood Tustin,
LLC, owners of the Tustin Commons complex.
Rockwell Collins' Tustin facility produces cabin electronics products - including moving maps, live television systems and
Airshow 21 cabin electronics systems - for commercial aviation customers. The Costa Mesa facility produces mechanical filters
for HF radio communication applications. The Pomona facility produces in-flight entertainment systems - including PAVES®,
TES™ and eTES™ - for commercial aviation customers.
